    Answer: The word Islam means Surrender. Surrender to the will of Allah.
  • Q: Who is Allah?
    Answer: The word means GOD. GOD has many names, Allah is a reference, not his name.
  • Q: Is Islam difficult to follow?
    Answer: Not at all. Islam is easy. GOD himself said in Quran that he has made this religion easy and that he has perfected this religion, and has chosen it for mankind.
  • Q: Who was prophet Mohammad?
    Answer: Prophet Mohammad was the person upon whom revelations were revealed by GOD using angel Gabriel.
  • Q: Was prophet Mohammad the only prophet sent by GOD?
    Answer: Not at all. Prophet himself said that over 100,000 were sent before him, including Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus. Quran mentions 25 in specific.
  • Q: What does Islam say about Jesus?
    Answer: Says that Jesus too was a prophet, who was born out of a miraculous birth.
  • Q: What are basic duties of a Muslim?
    Answer: There are 5 duties of Muslims, also known as 5 pillars of Islam.
  • Q. Why does Islam allow polygamy?
    Answer: Islam allows limited polygamy. Quran says, if you can take care of only one woman, then marry only one.
  • Q: Does Islam degrade woman and require them to wear Burkha or Hijab?
    Answer: Not at all. Islam does not say to wear Burkha. Rules to cover the body are almost same for men and women.
  • Q: Is Islam the religion of sword?
    Answer: I don't know of anyone who was made to accept Islam forcefully. Prophet even forgave the people who insulted and tortured him while he was in Mecca. His forgiveness brought people to Islam.

    Answer: Politics teaches terrorism, not Islam.
  • Q: What is Jihaad?
    Answer: The battle of good within a person with evil within a person, is Jihaad.
  • Q: Is it compulsory for muslims to eat non-vegetarian food?
    Answer: Not at all.
  • Q: Can Muslims consume alcohol and other addictive products like drugs?
    Answer: Not at all.
  • Q: Why does Islam prohibit pork?
    Answer: Its source to many diseases.

    Answer: Kafir is arabic word for disbelievers.

    Answer: Kabah is the holy place of Muslims in Mecca city. It was constructed by Abraham, and resembles house of angels which is in heavens.

    Answer: The word of GOD. His command for mankind.
  • Q: How did prophet Mohammad get these revelations?
    Answer: He got these revelations in two different ways. Moreover, Quran itself has 2 types of revelations.

    Answer: No, true Muslims do not. Quran forbids doing so.

    Answer: By saying and believing in one true GOD, and by accepting that Mohammad was a prophet. GOD holds you accountable for your words and deeds.

    Answer: You follow the duties laid upon for Muslims by GOD. 5 duties, 5 pillars of Islam.
  • Q: Do I need to change my name after I accept Islam?
    Answer: No you don't have to. Its your choice.
  • Q: Do I need a certificate of acceptance of Islam?
    Answer: Your surrender to GOD's will is between you and GOD. However, some countries might need a certificate for travel or for marriage.
  • Q: Is circumcision a must after accepting Islam?
    Answer: Not at all.
  • Q: What is Wudu?
    Answer: Process of cleaning oneself before prayers, and staying clean is Wudu.
  • Q: What is Zakat, and who can it be given to?
    Answer: Zakat is one of the 5 duties of Muslims. Its about helping the community, financially or physically.
  • Q: Is earning interest on money banned in Islam?
    Answer: Yes, it is.
  • Q: Do I have to learn Arabic to read Quran?
