Quran about asking help from someone besides GOD

Yesterday a Shiaa brother told me that its ok to ask for help from prophet or from Hazrat Ali , and I remembered reading in Quran that its not ok. So I tried to find it, and here are the verses below.
By the way, look how GOD guides us. GOD opened the chapter which had the verses, "without any effort from my side."
I swear to GOD, this was the first chapter I opened and read, and the verses were right there...

Below is translation of Quran by three different translators, and more translations are available on my website http://www.isaCalling.com
This translation is the "3in1" translation, available on the website as well...

In this verse, prophet is saying, I cannot harm or benefit you, "without the permission of Allah"
Disbelievers asked the prophet, when will judgement day come ? And GOD told the prophet to say these words,
I have no control over anything "except by the permission of Allah", and its Allah who decides everything...

010.049
Y: Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as
Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is
reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor can they
advance ."

P: Say: I have no power to hurt or benefit myself, save that which Allah
willeth. For every nation there is an appointed time. When their time
cometh, then they cannot put it off an hour, nor hasten .

S: Say: I do not control for myself any harm, or any benefit except what
Allah pleases; every nation has a term; when their term comes, they
shall not then remain behind for an hour, nor can they go before .

10:49
Say,
“I have no power to harm or benefit by myself,
except as God wills.
To every nation is an appointed time.
Then,
when their time arrives,
they can neither postpone it by one hour,
nor advance it.

In these verses, Allah has told you not to ask for help from anyone, except Allah himself.
"Call" is "call for help", isn't it?
"cry" is "cry for help", isn't it?

010.106
Y: "'Nor call on any, other than Allah;- Such will neither profit thee
nor hurt thee: if thou dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those
who do wrong.'"

P: And cry not, beside Allah, unto that which cannot profit thee nor
hurt thee, for if thou didst so then wert thou of the wrong-doers.

S: And do not call besides Allah on that which can neither benefit you
nor harm you, for if you do then surely you will in that case be of the
unjust.

010.107
Y: If Allah do touch thee with hurt, there is none can remove it but He:
if He do design some benefit for thee, there is none can keep back His
favour: He causeth it to reach whomsoever of His servants He pleaseth.
And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

P: If Allah afflicteth thee with some hurt, there is none who can remove
it save Him; and if He desireth good for thee, there is none who can
repel His bounty. He striketh with it whom He will of his bondmen. He
is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

S: And if Allah should afflict you with harm, then there is none to
remove it but He; and if He intends good to you there is none to repel
His grace; He brings it to whom He pleases of His servants; and He is
the Forgiving, the Merciful.

10:106
And do not call,
apart from God,
on what neither benefits you nor harms you.
If you do,
you are then one of the wrongdoers.
10:107
If God afflicts you with harm,
none can remove it except He.
And if He wants good for you,
none can repel His grace.
He makes it reach whomever He wills of His servants.
He is the Forgiver,
the Merciful.

In these verses, Allah is telling you not to "assume" having "mediators and intercessors" between you and Allah.

010.018
Y: They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them,
and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye
indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on
earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe !"

P: They worship beside Allah that which neither hurteth them nor
profiteth them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah.
Say: Would ye inform Allah of that He knoweth not in the
heavens or in the earth? Praised be He and High Exalted above all that
ye associate !

S: And they serve beside Allah what can neither harm them nor profit
them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you
inform Allah of what He knows not in the heavens and the
earth? Glory be to Him, and supremely exalted is He above what they set
up .

10:18
And they worship,
besides God,
what neither harms them nor benefits them.
And they say,
“These are our intercessors with God.” Say,
“Are you informing God about what He does not know in the heavens or on earth?” Glorified be He,
High above the associations they make.

In these verses, Allah is telling you how these mediators and intercessors will abandon you on the last day, and will deny any relation with you.

010.028
Y: One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those
who joined gods : "To your place! ye and those ye joined as
'partners'." We shall separate them, and their 'Partners' shall say: "It
was not us that ye worshipped!"

P: On the day when We gather them all together, then We say unto those
who ascribed partners : Stand back, ye and your
partners ! And We separate them, the one from the other, and
their partners say: It was not us ye worshipped.

S: And on the day when We will gather them all together, then We will
say to those who associated others : Keep where you are,
you and your associates; then We shall separate them widely one from
another and their associates would say: It was not us that you served:

010.029
Y: "Enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew
nothing of your worship of us!"

P: Allah sufficeth as a witness between us and you, that we were unaware
of your worship.

S: Therefore Allah is sufficient as a witness between us and you that we
were quite unaware of your serving .

10:28
On the Day when We will gather them altogether,
then say to those who ascribed partners,
“To your place,
you and your partners.” Then We will separate between them,
and their partners will say,
“It was not us you were worshiping.”

10:29
“God is sufficient witness between us and you.
We were unaware of your worshiping us.”

My Shiaa brothers, you know very well that I am not from amongst the sunnis.
Its a request from me,
kindly stop asking help from Hazrat Ali or the prophet "directly".

Ask help from Allah "directly", and if Allah wills, then Allah will send help through the prophet or through Hazrat Ali.

Here is a short duaa:
O Allah, praise be to you, glory be to you, and you are the Supreme master.
I am a "believer" of yours,
and a "follower" of your prophet Mohammad and his Ahlebait who were blessed by you O Allah,
and I have come across
Kindly help me in this matter, and I will forever be grateful to you O my supreme Master Allah
Praise be to Allah, Glory be to Allah, Master of the day of judgement, I bow down before you, and I seek help from you.

May GOD bless you my brothers in faith. Ameen
